Welcome to Readers' Choice 2021. I look forward to sharing our reading together this semester.
As I have told you all, I am a life-long reader who enjoys reading on a daily basis. Detective fiction is one of my comfort zones but I have expanded my reading in recent years to include various genres that I have not always read such as creative nonfiction. I enjoy reading modern fiction and am always up for a mystery. Big Lies in a Small Town fits into those two categories and I enjoyed reading it this past weekend. Oftentimes, I look to the New York Times bestseller list to find new reads; that is where I came upon The Survivors which I am currently reading. Other sources for reading ideas come from friends and popular culture. I saw Firefly Lane and the Bridgerton series were on Netflix's top 10 shows so I decided to check out the corresponding books.
My hopes are that you will develop skills and interests over this next semester and enjoy the various benefits of reading.
